The café’s design features a unique service bar free of sharp corners, allowing for a smooth flow of customers within a compact footprint. This special feature was created using one solid piece of Corian, rounded to support the smooth flow of the space as well as provide a clean surface for service. Custom furnishings constructed from ash wood provide a warm contrast to the bar, while a concrete micro- topping on the floor and support area contributes a rougher texture to the space.
Managed as part of an long-term relationship to support Blue Bottle’s ongoing expansion of multiple new café’s on the West Coast, Bradac Co worked closely with the client team to maintain the unique architectural feaures while managing the overall budget and schedule during a construction phase impacted by the uncertainties and disruption of the COVID 19 pandemic.
